Smoot Farm Field Trip

Third Grade

Third grade students spent Friday, November 6 at the Dorothy Smoot Farm.  Students made Christmas ornaments from corn cobs, had their picture taken on the combine, and estimate the number of kernels on a an ear of corn.

Students made picture frames using materials from the farm.  It wasn't all work on the farm.  The students had a contest on who could shuck the most corn!

Students learn there is a lot more to dirt that they ever thought about.
