Mr. MannMr. Reece Mann, Superintendent of Delaware Community Schools since 2015, has been honored as 2020 Superintendent of the Year for Region VI.

Region VI is a 12-county area that includes Adams, Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Henry, Jay, Madison, Randolph, Rush, Union, Wayne, and Wells counties.

The award was bestowed by the Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents.  Winners are selected by their peers in each district, with consideration of the accomplishments and leadership in a time of limited resources.

Supt. Mann said the award is a reflection of the collective valuable contributions of many groups: students, parents/families, teachers, administrators, transportation, support staff, community members, and the school board.

In addition to continued strong school grades and test scores, Del-Com Schools has implemented 1:1 technology and has undergone a recent construction project to add a secure entry to Delta High School and six new state-of-the-art science rooms.

Mann served as Superintendent of Monroe Central Schools before accepting his position at Del-Com.  He is a graduate of Franklin College and carries post-graduate degrees from Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne and Ball State University.
