The 10 O'clock Jazz Band is the advanced jazz band at Delta High School. Students in this band need to have previous jazz band experience, director permission to join, and a serious commitment to music. The 10 O'clock Jazz Band members perform a wide variety of jazz styles such as swing, funk, Latin, and rock, and work to become well-rounded jazz performers. Only standard jazz instruments are allowed in the 10 O'clock jazz band, as they strive to maintain the traditional big band sound. Some of the pieces performed include Spain, Morning Dance, Pennsylvania 6-5000, Red Clay, Four, Swing Shift, and Hay Burner. |

Like the 9 O'clock Jazz Band, this advanced jazz ensemble performs at several festivals, competitions, and concerts throughout the year. During the 2008-2009 school year the band performed at the Madison County Jazz Festival at Pendleton Heights High School, competed in the Dimensions in Jazz Festival at Ball State University, and performed at two major concerts. They also perform before school throughout the year for the faculty and students.
