The 9 O'clock Jazz Band's main goal is to introduce students to a variety of jazz styles and to incorporate basic jazz theory alongside performance. The students in the 9 O'clock band learn the fundamentals of jazz styling with such songs as Sunny, Mood Indigo, Jumpin' at the Woodside, and many more. The 9 O'clock Jazz Band is ideal for beginning students or students who do not play traditional jazz band instruments. |

The 9 O'clock Jazz Band performs at several festivals, competitions, and concerts throughout the year. During the 2008-2009 school year the band had a successful day at the Madison County Jazz Festival at Pendleton Heights High School and performed at two major concerts. |
