!Horror Story

by Kaylee Chambers

There once was a boy named Ethan. Ethan was a nice boy with light brown hair and a crooked smile. He was a coming of age boy about to be seventeen. Ethan lived in the backwoods of and old laid back country town. Everyone who lived in the town of Thomas knew everybody who lived there, where they lived, and the cars they drove. Needless to say, everyone in this town could recognize an outsider.
One rain soaked afternoon Ethan had came after school like he usually does, except one thing was out of place. There was an unknown car parked in the beginning of Ethan’s half mile driveway. Ethan thought nothing of it as he drove through the yard, slowly passing the unknown white Mercedes vehicle.
Ethan knew the only way to come to his house was to pass through town. Knowing someone would follow the unknown car to wherever it might go.
Arriving up to his house Ethan kept thinking curiously about the car that was in his driveway. Putting it out of as he closed his car door and made his way to the back door of the two-story home.
Walking straight inside and closing the door behind him. Ethan felt very uneasy. At this time Ethan called his closest friend Luke. “Hey man, you wanna play some Call of Duty 4 on the 360?” Ethan asked. Luke curiously, while waiting for a reply, the line dropped. Ethan tried to call various more numbers in panic and the lines were dead.
Home all alone of all days Ethan thought today was done. He had enough and didn’t want to make himself scared anymore.
Ethan went up stairs to his room, laid down on his bed and went fast to sleep.
Awaking around six o’clock to find his parents still not home. Rapatap-tap he heard toward the front windows to see if he could see a car in the driveway. No cars in the drive that he could see. He crept with ease to the front door grabbing a wood poker made from iron to help protect him.
Opening the door with great caution all he saw was keys. Ethan shut the door grabbing the keys. Rapatap-tap banging at the door again with great utterly surprise, a shrill of nervousness crawled up Ethan’s back. “Who could it be I wonder?” opening the door again to find a large man with a Richard Nixon mask on his face. The man grasp a hold tight on Ethan as tight a she could. Squeezing the life out of him. All of a sudden, before Ethan could do anything his mom jumps out from behind the door screaming “April Fools! “How do you like your new car?”
