Academic Teams |

Delta High School fields multiple Academic Teams each year. These teams compete in various events across the state. The teams compete in Spell Bowl Competitions, Math Competitions, The Brain Game (televised on CBS), Quiz Bowl, and Super Bowl. Super Bowl is divided into six different teams: Math, Science, Fine Arts, English, Social Studies, and Interdisciplinary. Currently, the Interdisciplinary team is ranked first in the state. The Academic Teams have grown drastically in the past seven years. Early in the program, the goal was to field a team to compete. Now, the program has over 20 members and has goals to compete in national competitions. The teams also have a goal of gaining a Hoosier Heritage Conference title. The Academic Team's success is starting to grow as well. In three of the past four years, the Super Bowl team has qualified for state competition. The teams are usually tied for second in the HHC rankings. |
