In 2005,
science teacher Mr. Lance Brand won
the
Milken Award,
a prestigious award that recognizes outstanding teachers, principals, and
other educational professionals. Mr. Brand is only one of 46 winners in
Indiana in the history of the award. Mr. Brand received a $25,000 cash
prize. This award has given Mr. Brand a chance to better his teaching
abilities, to further grow as an educator, and to get involved in more
programs.
