Coach Keller Retires
After 25 Varsity Seasons

Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Paul Keller resigned his position on Tuesday after 25 seasons as a varsity coach.  He will continue at Delta as a math teacher.

Coach Keller began coaching in 1976 and has been a varsity coach for the past 18 years at DHS after seven seasons as head coach at Wapahani High School.

Keller's career varsity record was 369-203, a .645 winning percentage. His victory total ranks 31st among all active basketball coaches in Indiana.

His teams won a record total of 13 Delaware County Tournament championships.  His teams also won 11 conference championships, eight sectional titles, three regional crowns, two semistate titles and the Class 3A state championship in 2002. In 1997, the Eagles made national news when they advanced to the state championship game in the final IHSAA single-class state tournament before Indiana moved to class basketball.
