Coach Keller Retires
After 25 Varsity Seasons
Boys Varsity Basketball Coach Paul
Keller resigned his position on Tuesday
after 25 seasons as a varsity coach.
He will continue at Delta as a math
teacher.
Coach Keller began coaching in 1976 and
has been a varsity coach for the past 18
years at DHS after seven seasons as head
coach at Wapahani High School.
Keller's career varsity record was
369-203, a .645 winning percentage. His
victory total ranks 31st among all
active basketball coaches in Indiana.
His teams won a record total of 13
Delaware County Tournament
championships. His teams also won
11 conference championships, eight
sectional titles, three regional crowns,
two semistate titles and the Class 3A
state championship in 2002. In 1997, the
Eagles made national news when they
advanced to the state championship game
in the final IHSAA single-class state
tournament before Indiana moved to class
basketball.

Darcy Dorton
Contributes
To
National Title
2009 DHS graduate Darcy Dorton helped
Penn State University win the NCAA
Division 1 national volleyball
championship on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009.
Dorton, a freshman at No. 1 Penn State,
helped the Nittany Lions rally to beat No. 2 Texas in
a five-set match in Tampa, Fla.
