2009 Tournament Information

Trophies
Campers can earn trophies by being division champion or runner-up.  We also honor many deserving campers with our EXTRA EFFORT, HUSTLE, ENTHUSIASM and SPORTSMANSHIP trophies.  Our instructors are always on the lookout for campers who hustle, display good sportsmanship, and try their hardest.  We also select CAMPERS OF THE WEEK (one boy and one girl) for each session of the camp.  The campers of the week receive plaques.

All awards are presented at the tournament on Fridays.

Sign-Up
Campers sign up for singles or doubles and choose their division on Wednesday of each week.  They can make changes on Thursday. Campers must choose between singles or doubles.

Format
With more than 100 campers competing in multiple divisions, it is impossible to play full matches.  Most matches consist of the first player to win 4 games.  However, the double-elimination format results in many matches for most players.  Campers who are eliminated still can have fun playing games, attending the picnic and raffle, hitting balls against the school wall, etc. And on hot summer days, you can be sure a water balloon or squirt gun battle will break out! 

Times
The tournament starts at 8:30 a.m. in all divisions unless otherwise notified.  The tournament is over by 3:00 p.m. in most divisions and by 5:00 p.m. in the largest divisions.

K-3 campers are invited to stay through the lunch and raffle drawing.  Parents should pick up the K-3 campers no later than 12:30 p.m.
