Delta Middle School Guidance Services

Counseling:

• Coordinate PeaceMaker peer mediation program
• Help with bullying and teasing
• Conflict mediation
• Individual counseling
• Behavioral consultations
• Anxiety with or problems at school
• Help with problems at home or with friends

Academic Guidance:

• Help students get organized (locker, using agenda, correct folders, etc.).
• Help students develop better study habits and other skills.
• Communicate with parents, students, and teachers to create strategies for success.
• LIFT (Learning Is Fun Together): Communicate with parents about our LIFT program that meets every Tuesday and Thursday until 4:00 p.m. This program helps students improve study skills and preparation.
• Work with students to develop their guidance portfolio.

• Challenge Education: All 7^th grade students go through a Teams Course that helps develop many skills including trust, communication, and teamwork in an outdoor hands-on setting.
