Below are two resources for parents and students who want to maintain or sharpen math skills over the summer.

The website for our textbook is excellent.  The web address is www.classzone.com .  Choose math for Indiana.  Choose the book you wish to review.  There will be several options.  The one I particularly like is @HomeTutor.  Within @HomeTutor you choose a chapter then a section of the chapter.  You then have the option to “Learn the Lesson,” “Try the Exercises,” “Vocabulary Flip Cards,” and “Having Trouble with the Lesson.”  These are all very helpful.  The “home tutor” talks you through examples and exercises.  There are several other options at the site that can be fun and helpful.

Another option is a summer skills program I came across this year which looks promising.  I have no experience with the program but it has good features.  Not only does it come with an answer key but a solution key.  The solution key actually shows students and parents how to do the problem.  It also has tutorial help pages.  The program can be viewed at www.summerskills.com .  It costs $18.00 per book.

I hope this information will be of value to you.  If you use the Summer Skills program please give me some feedback.  I am anxious to know if it is a good resource.
