Booster Club Meeting Minutes

April 6, 2010

Meeting called to order by Mr. Harman, Principal

In Attendance: Mr. Harman, Mr. Cribbs, Melissa Glidden, Kelli Bales, Tracy Fenwick

Treasurer’s Report – Kelli Bales

            Treasurer’s report checkbook balance $17,770.64

            A few teacher requests have been purchased. 

Special Events –

            7^th Grade Field Trip-     May 7, 2010 Chicago

8^th Grade Career Day – May 14, 2010 Guest speaker Matt Painter, Purdue Basketball Coach

                                    Volunteers needed to speak, will be staying at DMS  

8^th Grade Field Day -     May 26, 2010 – Kelli Bales chairperson

                                    Parents donate chips, drinks, cookies, condiments

                          Parents are invited to come for activities outside

             8^th Grade Breakfast-      June 3, 2010 Kelli Bales chairperson

                                                Boosters will provide doughnuts, milk, and juice

President/ Principal’s Report – Mr. Harman

            Teacher Requests- Mr. Voke camcorder and DVD burner $400, Mr. LeMaster portable drill

            $300, Mrs. Arms 2 dry erase kits $100, Mrs. Olfier new percussion instrument $3400 for all            students, Mrs. Triplett make and launch hot air balloons $580 for 7^th graders, Mrs. DeNeal      Academic Team $300 hosting state meet will cover a portion of cost. 

Fundraiser- Red Apple will be fundraiser for next school year

Box Tops- Thank you to Angela Decker chairperson, $500 will go to 8^th class for high school

6^th Grade Field Trip- Canceled

            Bookstore- Will be open beginning of next school year to deplete inventory.

            Officers – 2010-2011 Officers will be decided at May meeting.
