Booster Club Meeting Minutes

December 1, 2009

Meeting called to order by Mr. Harman, Principal

In Attendance: Mr. Harman, Brenda Cribbs, Melissa Glidden, Kelli Bales, Tracy Fenwick

Treasurer’s Report – Kelli Bales

            Treasurer’s report checkbook balance $20,845.28, profit from fundraiser was $7980.00  

            Will purchase mats for front and back entrance.  They will be navy and gold with an eagle.

            Cost will be $1800.00 approximately.

Teacher Appreciation –

Texas Roadhouse will provide lunch for teachers on December 18 (Hero Day). Student council has offered to provide desserts.  In honor of the teachers, the boosters will support a family for Christmas $550.00

Special Events –

8^th Grade Field Day -     Kelli Bales chairperson – May 17, 2010

                                    Parents donate chips, drinks, cookies, condiments

                          Parents are invited to come for activities outside

8^th Grade Career Day – May 14, 2010 Guest speaker Matt Purdue?  Volunteers needed to speak, will be staying at DMS   

             8^th Grade Breakfast-      May 25, 2010 Boosters will provide doughnuts and parents provide drinks

President/ Principal’s Report – Mr. Harman

Fundraiser- Thank you to all who helped and participated in the fundraiser.  Prizes were handed out on December 1 at lunch.

Box Tops- Money will go to 8^th grade class for High School

ISTEP Snacks- Testing will be March 1-5 cookies and punch can be donated at that time.

Athletic Certificates- Students will be given a certificate instead of a letter for Athletic accomplishments.  Letters will be available upon request.
