Eaton Elementary Media/Library Center

The media/library center is accessible to all teachers, students and parents.

The library has a friendly, inviting atmosphere that welcomes and encourages all who enter to ask questions, to become involved with books and materials available.

Each Eaton Elementary class meets in the library once each week. Students learn library skills, word games and are introduced to different types of books available to them for learning and enjoyment.

During the school year, the library is especially decorated for seasons, themes and holidays.

The perimeter of the library is lined with scientific mounts of insects, leaves, hats and snake skeletons.

One of the most unique features of the library/media center is the apple-shaped tables with Windsor-backed chairs.

Our library/media center contains the largest and most complete collection of Ellison dies in the corporation.

During the school year we have three book fairs. The proceeds have allowed us to purchase a full-sized skeleton, many distinctive library decorations, storybook characters and a collection of art prints.

All items are available to all teachers to enhance their class teaching units.
