Eaton Elementary PTO Minutes

April 9^th, 2008

Meeting called to order by Kristy Swoveland at 7:00pm.

Attendants- Kristy Swoveland, Jessica Hicks, Kathy Hottinger, Kari Anne King, Heather Melton, Danielle Meiring, Niki Gillis, Joe Gillis, Angela Decker, Kim Hart-Paxson, Michelle Beaty.

Minutes read by Jessica Hicks. No changes were made. Heather was 1^st to motion and Angela was 2^nd.

The treasures report was not read tonight due to Tisha’s absence, however it was submitted and handed out.

Unfinished Business

• Spring Carnival plans were finalized! It will be April 25^th 5:30- 7:30! Thank you to all that helps with this!
• Eaton/Delta Wear approximate profit will be $400.00; there are still a few orders out.
• Welcome Mat for the front entry way was voted on and favored. It will be 16 ft by 4 ft and will be $1,329.92.

New Business

· Danielle Meiring Proposed to set a table for Boy Scouts at the Spring Carnival. She will also be hosting 2 liter bowling and a raffle of a popcorn tin. Voted on and Favored.

· A request for lamination was proposed and favored. It will be $415.56.

· A request for renewal of Current Affairs for the 5^th grade classes was voted on and favored. It will be $259.00.

· The new PTO Officers were voted on and as follows for the 08/09 School Year. Heather Melton- President, Kim Hart-Paxton- Vice President, Kari Anne King-Treasure and Jessica Hicks- Secretary.

· Teacher Appreciation Week is May 5^th – May 9^th. On May 7^th PTO will have a carry-in for the staff chaired by Angela Decker. It will be Soup, Salad and Sandwiches this year.

· Muffins for Moms will be Wednesday May 7^th. This year the cafeteria is baking the muffins! Blueberry, Banana and Chocolate Chip for $245.47. Student count times three gave us our total.
