Eaton Elementary PTO Minutes

February 4^th 2007

Attendants- Kristy Swovelamd, Heather Melton, Kari Anne King, Kim Hart-Paxson, Jessica Hicks, Kathy Hottinger, Larry Cicotte, Nicki Gillis, Michelle Beaty and Tisha Stone.

Meeting called to order by Kristy Swoveland at 7:00pm.

Minutes read by Jessica Hicks. No changes were made. 1st to motion was Kari King, 2^nd to motion was Tisha Stone.

Tisha Stone read treasures report. Santa Shop was not recorded. $1629.00 was brought in $870.36 was reimbursed to Kari King and the total profit was $758.64. 1^st to motion was Kari King, 2^nd to motion Tisha Stone.

Unfinished Business

Ÿ Profit from Santa Shop (listed above in Treasures Report)

Ÿ Kindergarten Purchase of Learning Centers was made with the profit from Saturday with Santa and should be arriving soon!

Ÿ Heather Melton is working on an order form for T-Shirt sales. We will vote on year round T-shirt sales for 08/09 in May.

New Business

Ÿ Spring Carnival will be held Friday April 25^th from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Ÿ Set-up 12:30-5pm

Ÿ Bring all your suggestion to the next meeting when the entire PTO will discuss and plan for the carnival. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ÿ Boy Scout table removed from agenda because the chairperson was not in attendance

Ÿ Heather Melton proposed a field trip fund. $3000.00 would be put into a fund for the teachers to use for field trips rather than have the children pay for this. The fund will pay for up to $10 per child during the school year at the Teachers preference of trip. Mr.Cicotte mentioned that having a fund available would make planning easier for the teachers. This will be voted on in our March 3^rd meeting.

Ÿ 2008/2009 PTO Officer positions are all open for the 08/09 school year. A ballot has been started and we will be accepting nominations through March to be voted on in April.

Ÿ Tisha Stone will chair donuts for Dads. It is to be held March 5^th 7am-8:30am. We are planning on getting approx. 600 donuts, we ran out last year. And sadly Mrs.Hottinger did not even receive a donut. Mr.Cicotte has requested a chocolate covered donut. Good Luck Tish!

Ÿ Heather Melton motioned for playground up keep. We are going to come to the March 3^rd meeting around 6pm to inspect the playground for possible add-ons and repairs as well as gravel. Mrs.Hottiner is going to check and see if there is a fund through the school first before we use the PTO funds for gravel. It was mentioned that the basketball goals are in need of new nets and lines painted on the court. Kristy Swoveland suggested getting a bench with Eaton or the year on it. It was tabled to the March meeting.
