Unfinished Business
- The
entrance mat has been ordered by Kari King and should arrive in 4-6 weeks.
- Santa
shop totals are $2016.84 collected with $1212.95 expenses leaving a profit
of $803.89! The schedule this year worked very well giving each class more
time to shop.
- Saturday
with Santa profits was $380.26 going to the kindergarten classes for new
seat pockets. Pictures this year were taken digitally and processed
through Meijer using snapfish. The children’s names were printed on the
back of the photos making it easy to distribute!
- Basket
Bingo is February 21st using March 7th as a snow date
instead of February 28th. Farmhouse Creations has offered to
donate items for door prizes! Thank you very much!
- Daddy’s
Sweetheart dance is February 6th. The D.J. will cost $250 and
will have interactive games! Cookies have been ordered from the cafeteria
and punch will also be served. Corsages are being ordered on a pre-pay
basis through Liggett’s. They are $3.50 each with the choice of pink, red
or white carnations. Pictures will be taken in the media room digitally
and processed the same as Saturday with Santa. Kathy Hottinger is letting
the PTO use some of her white Christmas lights! She only has 48 BOXES!
Thanks Kathy! We still need volunteers! If you would like to help please
contact anyone in the PTO!
- Kari
is going to purchase a zip drive for PTO documents.
- Ideas
on promoting PTO are having 2 big meetings a year in the spring and fall
where the parents can earn a movie ticket for their children at a later
date. The PTO will then have a movie date and any child that has earned a
ticket can attend enjoying a movie and popcorn!
New Business/Open Floor
- Susan
Campbell, co-owner of Farmhouse Creations came to offer fundraiser ideas.
They do a fundraiser for camp Tecumseh and it goes VERY WELL! The PTO has
committed not to do a fundraiser this year but may possibly consider using
them for next fall. It will be voted on at the end of the year.
- Miss
Kaulk made request for funds for Spelling Bee prizes. In the past the PTO
has donated $30 for the purchase of a dictionary, thesauras and a few
other items for 1st and 2nd place. It was voted on
and favored. Kim Hart Paxson has volunteered to purchase the items for
Miss Kaulk.
- Paddles
need to be ordered as well as name plates. There are 2 paddles still at
Botkins that need to be picked up due to misspelled names. A few
nameplates need to be replaced because they have the teacher’s full name
rather than Mr. or Mrs. Kim has also volunteered to take care of this.
Meeting adjourned by Kim Hart-Paxson
at 7:20pm.
Recorded and respectfully submitted by
Jessica Hicks.
