Unfinished Business
- Purchase for
the Front door mat is still waiting on our future mascot. PTO will keep
funds set aside for this.
- The Donation
Dinner was down in $800 in donations compared to last year. The event was
catered this year by Frankie’s Pizza so the expense was higher as well.
Some suggested changes for next year are to have a prize for those parents
who fill out a volunteer form for PTO events and a sign for the raffle.
This year we raffled off a $50 gas card; several people missed this
because there wasn’t a designated area with a sign. Teachers need to start
eating earlier than 5pm so they have a proper amount of time to get back
to their classrooms before parents show up at 5:30 pm. If we do another
catered donation dinner we need to have a minimum donation per person to
help cover the cast of food.
- Mr.Cicotte’s
class brought in the most donations so they won an ice cream party
scheduled September 12th held by the PTO. Way to go guys,
thanks for your support!
- Spirit Wear is
going very well. We are going to continue with the same design and taking
orders year round as well as making them available at all PTO events!
New Business
- With the
profit of the donation dinner this year a Student activity fund was
proposed by Heather Melton to help with the cost of field trips.
The total profit of the dinner was $849.06,
giving each child $3.40. Kari King motioned that we use additional PTO funds to
give each child $5. Kristy Swoveland 2nd the motion. It was voted on
and favored. PTO added $398.40 to the Student Activity Fund.
- The first
Skating Party of the year will be September 30th Heather is
calling for details on the fees for this.
- Kristy
Swoveland presented Dollars for Scholars that is for seniors of Delta High
school. She is asking the PTO for a $50 donation to sponsor a hole at a
Golf Outing at Lakeview Country Club. Jessica Hicks was 1st to
motion and Kari King was 2nd. It was then voted on and favored.
