Eaton Elementary Speech & Language Mrs. Orchard, our Speech-Language Pathologist, provides therapy services for qualifying students. Speech therapy is provided for students who have difficulty pronouncing sounds, stutter or have a voice disorder. Language therapy is provided for students who have expressive or receptive language disorders. In order to qualify for speech and/or language therapy, the student must be referred to Mrs. Orchard for evaluation and parent permission for the evaluation obtained. Parents with questions about their child's speech-language development should feel free to call Mrs. Orchard at Eaton Elementary. Mrs. Orchard also provides hearing screening as required by Indiana State Law for students in kindergarten, first and fourth grades as well as students new to the school, those with a history of hearing problems, and those with known hearing loss. Parents may call Eaton at any time to request a hearing test for their child.
