All medical plan enrollees have access to Wellness Clinics FREE of charge. The Clinics can provide a wide range of labs and generic prescriptions at no cost.  The Clinic is an optional place of care and does not replace your primary care physician.  Members using our Clinics find their medical out-of-pocket spending for the year drops significantly.  We encourage you to visit one of our Clinics, if you haven’t already done so.

A reminder that medical plan members have access to SmartShopper.  This program lowers your medical costs while reducing the Trust’s claims.  SmartShopper is a transparency tool that provides you with a financial cash incentive for choosing to have a procedure or test performed at a location identified by SmartShopper as having a lower cost, yet high quality alternative.  We encourage you to call 866-285-7078 or visit SmartShopper.com prior to a procedure or test being performed.  An example of a win-win:  shop for a preventive service (mammogram or colonoscopy) which is paid at 100% by your medical plan, plus get a cash incentive for shopping for the service and selecting one of the lower cost/high quality alternative locations.

LiveHealth Online is a 24/7/365 telemedicine option through Anthem If you can’t visit a Clinic or if a non-emergency occurs after hours, all you need is a smartphone, tablet or computer (any system with a webcam).  Download the LiveHealth Online app from the App Store or Google PlayLiveHealth Online provides remote two-way communication.  Doctors will be able to evaluate your situation, make recommendations, and call in a prescription if needed.  You will be charged your applicable office visit copay.  If you’re on a High Deductible Health Plan, you will be charged $59 for a primary care visit, $80 for a social worker or therapist, $95 for a psychologist and $175 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $75 for any follow up psychiatric sessions.  LiveHealth Online is not meant to replace the Trust’s Clinics, it’s meant to fill a gap.  If the Clinics are open and you’re nearby the Clinic is still your best option.  LiveHealth Online is a great resource while on vacation, after hours or when you can’t get a clinic appointment.  If you have a life-threatening emergency, please visit your nearest emergency room or call 911 immediately.

Anthem’s Sydney Health App.  You can download app from the App Store or Google Play. Their system allows you to compare quality and cost for common services.  This is a good place to start when you are trying to be a good steward of your healthcare dollars.  Among other things, the site also allows you to view your claims, search for a provider or order a new ID card.  We encourage you to view the possibilities, if you aren’t already familiar with them.
