Dave Grasso – Dr. Grasso congratulated Mr. Overholt on his new position as Assistant Principal.  He thanked him for filling that position.

John Adams – Mr. Adams thanked everyone for coming.  He congratulated the Delta Girls’ Softball Association for their hard work and commented it takes a lot of ground work, time, and effort.  He stated our community is grateful to them and the building will be a great asset out there.  He appreciates the Sherck family’s kind words and the time they took to read their letter.  He doesn’t think people know what goes on at this level with the decisions that have to be made and what a family has to go through with something like that.  He stated that’s the DelCom he knows that Mr. Sherck shared. He’s glad they were able to be a part of that and they get to hear and see what the administrators and staff do.  He commented they don’t go out and talk about it, but it’s just who we are here.  He thanked them for coming and sharing and stated it meant a lot.  He congratulated Mr. Overholt and is glad to have him on board in a new position.  He stated everyone he has talked to is excited for him to take on the assistant principal job.

Valerie Alexander – Ms. Alexander concurred with her fellow board members.  She stated she’s heard from a lot of the people in the community that they are super excited for Mr. Overholt taking the position.  She welcomed him to his new position and commented he’s already well known around here.

Lance Engle – Mr. Engle hopes everyone got an opportunity to enjoy some time off last week and were able to recharge and get ready for the sprint towards Christmas.  He commented there are a lot of things going on between now and then.  He stated it was very nice of the Sherck family to come tonight and he appreciates that.  He stated they talk all the time about DelCom being a family and that’s the epitome of it right there.  He congratulated the Academic Team on placing first and stated that’s a big deal.  He stated they were up against some big schools and were the small fish in a big pond and to come out first is awesome.  He congratulated Mr. Cleland and the boys’ tennis team on their 32nd Sectional Title in a row.  He stated it just seems like it’s a given and it’s still quite a record that Mr. Cleland continues to accomplish.  He congratulated them on their hard work, time, and effort.  He congratulated Mr. Overholt and thanked him for stepping up in a new position.  He stated it’s not an easy thing to do and knows he’s going to do great.  He commented he’s hearing a lot of good things from the kids already and everyone is excited.
