  1. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS

Trent Fox – Mr. Fox thanked everyone for the opportunity he’s had for 13 years.  He stated it’s been a blessing and he’s enjoyed it.  He informed Mr. Lodl it goes both ways and to inform the staff the feeling is mutual.  He stated same with administration, it’s been great to work with all of them.  He wished everyone the best.

Adam Williams – Mr. Williams thanked everyone for coming.  He thanked Mr. Case and Mr. Fox for serving.  He thanked Mr. Fox for his longevity and informed him to enjoy some of his Mondays now and more things to come in the future.  He thanked everyone for their donations and appreciates all they do.  He welcomed all new hires, especially Mr. Taylor and Ms. Herron who were present tonight and thanked them for coming.  He welcomed Ms. Gillis and Ms. Alexander to the Board.

John Adams – Mr. Adams concurred with his fellow board members.  He wished a Merry Christmas to all.  He informed Mr. Fox it’s been a pleasure to work with him and appreciates all the knowledge he’s brought to the Board and they are going to miss him.  He informed Mr. Case he knows it’s only been 4 years, but he’s also brought a lot of knowledge and a lot of caring about kids, which has shined through.  He thanked him for his time on the Board and stated it’s been a pleasure to serve with him as well.  He stated having a lot of people at a Christmas Program is a good problem to have.  He stated even though it was the first time at the high school and they didn’t know what to expect, it will only get better from here and they will have more of a game plan of what they want to do.  He stated he’s heard great things about it and congratulated them on a great program.  He thinks everyone knows he’s big on donations because we couldn’t do it without them, from the small ones to the large ones, it doesn’t matter at all and goes to serve our kids and we are really appreciative of that.  He commented for someone to donate in someone else’s honor is even bigger in his book because it meant something to those who wanted to do that.  He stated it’s good to see Ms. Gillis and Ms. Alexander as they will be having more conversations after the first of the year.  He stated it’s good to see the two new members coming in here this evening and their interest in DelCom.

Jacob Case – Mr. Case thanked his fellow board members for the mentorship they have given him over the years.  He thanked Mr. Engle and the Board for their friendship.  He informed Mr. Kile it’s been a pleasure to serve with him.  He stated this seat is really easy because of the staff and teachers and it’s just been 4 years, but the DelCom family has made it really easy to serve.  He stated the late Mr. Lugar said this was the hardest political seat he held, but Mr. Case will say this is the easiest thing he’s done because of the quality of our teachers, administrators, and staff.  He stated it’s been a joy and he’s proud to say he was on the Board at DelCom.  He thanked Ms. Gillis for coming back and stepping back into the seat he couldn’t fill anymore.  He thanked Ms. Alexander for coming on as well.

Lance Engle – Mr. Engle stated he’s glad the Albany and Eaton Christmas Program went well at the high school.  He informed everyone a few weeks ago they held An Albany Christmas for the community. He stated lots of students and staff were there participating with handing out hot chocolate, popcorn, and goodies to the community with a smile.  He thanked them for their time to do that on a Sunday evening.  He stated An Albany Christmas is a very special thing and he wanted to thank the teachers, Mr. Parrott, the jazz band, choir, and performers for participating because it means a lot to our community.  He thanked Mr. Fox and stated it’s been a pleasure and he’s learned a lot from him. He stated Mr. Fox has been great to understand and talk to and the experience and knowledge he’s shared day in and out is greatly appreciated.  He commented it has helped him get his feet wet and learn.  He stated he’s gotten to know Mr. Case the past 4 years and he appreciates him and his friendship.  He commented they both came on at the same time and have been learning together and it’s been nice to have a partner in crime.  He thanked Mr. Fox and Mr. Case for serving.  He hopes everyone has a great Christmas.
