BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
Trent Fox – Mr. Fox thanked everyone for coming. He congratulated Ms. Churchill and hopes she enjoys her time at Delta Middle School. He is excited to have her here and is looking forward to great things. He stated fall sports are winding down with tennis, volleyball, and boys’ cross country ending with good seasons. He wished good luck to the girls’ cross country team who will be going to Semi State this weekend and the football team in their tournament. He hopes everyone enjoyed fall break with family and hopes we have a good 9 weeks.
Adam Williams – Mr. Williams stated not a lot of activities are going on, but wanted to highlight the girls’ cross country team for going to Semi State. He stated that’s exciting and wanted to make sure they got due credit for all their hard work. He appreciates them representing DelCom well. He thanked everyone who comes to the meetings and shares what’s going on in their buildings. He stated hearing about the Mitchell family farm field trip is neat and thanked them for making that happen for a special group of kids. Mr. Williams congratulated Ms. Churchill. He thanked her for taking the job and stepping into that role.
Alice Gillis – Ms. Gillis congratulated Ms. Churchill and wished her luck. She congratulated the girls’ cross country team and wished the football team luck in their tournament. She thanked the Mitchell family and stated they are great family. Ms. Gillis commented she can see where Ms. Parker gets her good nature.
John Adams – Mr. Adams thanked everyone for coming. He thanked Mr. Schmaltz for his comments and stated he loves his Albany staff too. He stated good things are going on in all of our buildings and that’s a testament, not only to the leadership represented in each building, but also from the leadership out of the Administration Building. He’s positive a lot of things were going on in the buildings over fall break because that gives other teams the opportunity to get into places they normally couldn’t if we were in session. He thanked everyone for their efforts and stated it was a job well done. He wishes the best to all sports teams heading into conferences. He thanked the sports teams who are finished with their seasons for their sportsmanship. He stated you don’t hear about DelCom students’ not doing what their supposed to on the field and that’s a testament to the people in the leadership roles who are stressing sportsmanship to be done the right way. He stated you aren’t going to win every single ball game, but there are ways to lose gracefully and at the end of the day, sportsmanship is a very big thing. Mr. Adams welcomed Ms. Churchill and thanked her for picking Delcom. He thanked Mr. Treutlein and wished him and his family all the best.
