CALL TO ORDER
At 6:30 p.m. Board President, Adam Williams called the meeting to order.

A motion was made by Trent Fox and seconded by Lance Engle to amend the agenda, as presented. The motion was approved 4-0 vote.

MINUTES

A motion was made by John Adams and seconded by Trent Fox to accept the minutes of the business meeting and executive session held on Monday, January 20, 2020. The motion was approved 4-0 vote.

COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE FLOOR
Ryan Parrott, Royerton Elementary Assistant Principal, introduced Ms. Kelley who will be filling in for Mrs. Wingler while she is on maternity leave. He stated they are excited to have her. He informed everyone she’s helped Mrs. Wingler before and is familiar with how she runs the classroom so they are blessed to have her. He stated Royerton Robotics concluded their regular season and won four different awards. He stated three of their main teams are going to be able to attend State this year. He informed everyone Royerton hosted a tournament a few weeks ago and Eaton Elementary won one of the championships so one of their teams will also be invited to State. Mr. Parrott stated he would like to see four DelCom teams at State.

Angela Lease and Larry Manet, Del Met Federal Credit Union, request permission to use the Delta Middle School cafeteria on March 14, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to hold the Del Met Annual Meeting, as presented.

Tamara Meacham, Tri-Kappa, requests permission to use the Albany Elementary gymnasium on April 7, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to hold a Bingo Scholarship Fundraiser, as presented.

A motion was made by John Adams and seconded by Lance Engle to approve the 2020 Summer Food Service Program, as presented. The motion was approved 4-0 vote.

A motion was made by Lance Engle and seconded by Trent Fox to approve the request for the Eaton Elementary Food Service Department to accept a donation in the amount of $150.00 from Dennis Cox, as presented. The motion was approved 4-0 vote.

LETTERS/NOTES

BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS
John Adams – Mr. Adams gave a shout-out to the wrestling team for being Sectional Champs with nine total wrestlers in the finals who will be advancing onto Regionals. He welcomed Ms. Kelley and thanked her for stepping up, being a part of our corporation, and helping out. He stated once again, another meeting with another donation and thanked all who have donated. He stated another meeting where someone in our community stepped up and did something to help out and it’s greatly appreciated.
Lance Engle – Mr. Engle thanked everyone for being here. He congratulated the robotics teams for qualifying for State and thinks it’s awesome robotics is exploding across DelCom. He stated it’s neat to see and a great thing for kids to be a part of. He stated for kids who can’t play a sport or don’t have a desire to play a sport, this is an avenue for them to get out and do something with their friends. He congratulated all Spelling Bee winners and wished them luck at Regionals at Ball State. He congratulated all who participated in the Solo Ensemble at Yorktown and stated they did an awesome job.
Trent Fox – Mr. Fox thanked everyone for coming. He congratulated Ms. Kelley and hopes she enjoys it. He hopes the kids will respond and do the things she wants them to do because you just never know, especially in elementary. He wished good luck to the girls’ basketball team in sectionals this week. He stated he was at the wrestling meet and it was pretty exciting to see some of them win their matches. He stated they were pretty pumped and that’s always fun to watch.
Adam Williams – Mr. Williams thanked everyone for coming. He hopes everyone stays healthy and washes their hands. He stated if you’re sick, stay home because we don’t want it in our schools. He thanked everyone for their donations. He stated the wrestling team winning sectionals was wonderful and awesome. He stated girls’ sectional basketball is coming up and swimming and diving sectionals are Saturday. He wished them all the best of luck. He informed everyone his son participated in the Solo Ensemble and it was a neat thing to watch. He stated the choir was outstanding at the basketball game on Friday. He commented on how the program has really grown and stated he appreciates what Ms. Camp is doing. He stated DelCom has a wonderful range of opportunities for students to participate in traditional and non-traditional extra-curricular activities. He stated coming from a small school growing up, they didn’t have this depth of things to be a part of. He appreciates the efforts DelCom does to offer activities for everyone.

FUTURE MEETINGS

A regular meeting of the Board of School Trustees is scheduled for Monday, February 17, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Administration Building.

ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by John Adams and seconded by Trent Fox and Board President, Adam Williams, adjourned the meeting at 7:03 p.m.
An executive session on personnel matters was held following the business meeting.
