  1. LETTERS/NOTES

  1. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS

Trent Fox – Mr. Fox thanked everyone for coming.  He stated it was nice for Mr. Parrott to have support tonight and that will go a long way in helping him get direction.  He congratulated Mr. Criswell and stated he’s looking forward to him doing the other aspect of the position besides just the athletic director side of it.  Mr. Fox thinks Mr. Criswell will do just fine and will grow and learn as he goes.  He congratulated all the science fair winners and people moving on to State and stated that’s always exciting and good for them.  He stated opportunities are always nice to have and it’s nice we are able to do these things again.  He stated Spring Break is coming up so hopefully everyone can get some time away and spend time with family and friends.  He asked everyone to remember all the things going on around us and to keep those thoughts in your mind.

Adam Williams – Mr. Williams thanked everyone for coming.  He thanked the Albany staff for being here and stated that’s really neat and he appreciates they decided to come for this.  He congratulated Mr. Parrott and Mr. Criswell on their new positions and stated that’s exciting for everyone.  He commented it was nice to have science fairs, concerts, robotics, and math bowls be the highlights tonight.  He loves that DelCom has many opportunities for kids to get involved in different ways.  He thanked everyone who volunteers and steps up for extra-curricular activities.  He asked everyone to keep the Reynolds family in their prayers.

John Adams – Mr. Adams thanked the Albany staff for the support they showed Mr. Parrott tonight and stated that’s neat to see.  He remembers a few years back when Mr. Mann was Superintendent and informed them he thought we had a couple of rock stars here who would be able to help us out someday and that came true tonight.  He stated it’s nice to bring people up from within and thinks that’s a testament to what Mr. Conley was talking about earlier.  He stated some things just don’t happen at other places, but they certainly happen here at DelCom.  He congratulated Mr. Parrott and Mr. Criswell for their new appointments.  He stated for a lot of meetings, they don’t have folks show up and get a chance to hear some things that are going on.  He said it’s good to hear from our administrators, they aren’t required to be here, but they love when they are here to tell them what’s going on in their buildings.  He stated the theme tonight was pretty consistent with science fairs, math bowls, and concerts and that is the reason we are doing what we are doing.  He stated this is a great place to be and he’s glad the new employees chose us.

Lance Engle – Mr. Engle congratulated Mr. Criswell on his promotion and stated Delta Middle School is a great place to be with Mr. Marshall and the family there.  He congratulated Mr. Parrott on becoming Principal at Albany.  He stated Albany is very dear to his and his family’s heart and he is not surprised the teachers showed up tonight.  He stated it’s just what they do at Albany and as a community, they show up when they need to.  He’s excited for Mr. Parrott and what he’s going to bring to our town and school.  He stated hearing about science fairs, concerts, dance marathons, robotics, and math bowls sounds like a normal school year.  He stated it feels great to be able to do these things in person and he’s sure it will be a packed house at the concerts.  He stated it’s exciting to be a part of DelCom.
